Webb7 juli 2024 · Gwenllian, along with the daughters of her uncle Dafydd ap Gruffudd, were placed under the care of a convent (Gilbertine Priory) at Sempringham, Lincolnshire, where she would spend the rest of her life. Since she was Princess of Wales she was a significant threat to the King of England. Webb6 juli 2024 · Gwenllian only found her freedom in death. She died on 7 June 1337, the same month as her fifty-fifth birthday. She was buried at the priory where she had spent all but eighteen months of her life. Her grave was lost at the time of the dissolution of the monasteries, in the 16th century.
