I noticed there really weren't any quick and easy guides on how to set up OBS and deal with a few issues with ultrawides and twitch streaming. Web29 May 2024 · So, I have a beautiful 3440x1440 Asus ROG monitor, and I would like to live stream. And it works with the suggested settings (keep base (canvas) resolution at 3440x1440 and set output (scaled) resolution to 1720x720) , don't get me wrong. And I understand, that I will have to deal with those black bars at the top and bottom.

This is an aspect ratio of 32:9, and to squeeze this to the standard 16:9 video player of about every streaming service, OBS or the streaming service has to add really broad black bars to the top and bottom. WebI’m a gamer but I don’t think I’ll use this upper monitor for gaming unless it doesn’t support ultrawide, so likely won’t be a game needing Uber gif def. So I don’t think the upper monitor needs to be as ultra but id like something that will complement the ultrawide well and avoid complications of switching windows between monitors.
