Webon death benefit will be paid to the member’s Estate. If the lump sum amount is £5,000 or more, sight of a Grant of Probate or Letters of Administration will be requested before the lump sum is paid. A lump sum on death benefit is not included in an Inheritance Tax assessment if paid to the member’s spouse or registered civil partner.
