WebbScythe is better 100%. the extra range it offers is useful for both bosses and slayer and is worth the extra price over the spear. the only use the spear has over the scythe is that corporeal beast can (basically) only be beater with a spear, but its not like anyone really does that boss anyway. I melee them in a crowd with Scythe and a Cyclone. Kill the majority of them before their spirit explodes out, or before it starts to heal.
