WebIn my opinion, I'd say go for Hitmonlee. Having higher speed and attack stats makes him a better physical sweeper. Hitmonchan has higher defense, sure, but still not really enough to make it a stat to rely on. Yes, Hitmonchan learns elemental punches, but in Generation III, those attacks rely on the special attack stat. WebHitmonchan's HP is very poor, so it drags down its good Special Defense and passable Defense. Psychic-types resist High Jump Kick and hit it super effectively, as do Flying-types; it helps their cause that Hitmonchan doesn't have as much Attack as Hitmonlee.

Jolteon is good due to its high speed, Sp Atk, and Sp Def. The only problem is its lack of good moves based on leveling and most of the electric type moves it learns from TMs are learnt by leveling.
